Our integrated structure provides clients with one coordinated team and a single point of accountability, streamlining execution across logging, aviation, vegetation management, silviculture, fire mitigation, and civil construction.
The Ts-uubaa-asatx First Nation operates Tsu Resources as a majority First Nations–owned GP/LP partnership delivering integrated logging, helicopter aviation, vegetation management, silviculture, and fire-risk mitigation services across Western Canada. Ts-uubaa-asatx First Nation established in partnership Tsu Resources brings together the operational strengths of South Coast Standing Stem, Canadian Heli Harvester, HeliQwest Aviation, and affiliate Tsuubaa Pacific Civil Projects to safely and efficiently execute complex projects in remote, environmentally sensitive, and high-risk environments.
Our operating model combines experienced ground crews, advanced aviation assets, and Indigenous-led project delivery, enabling low-impact, high-performance solutions where conventional access, methods, or timelines are constrained.
Our Team
Gord Closson
PresidentGord Closson serves as Principal and Operations Lead across a strategic network of forestry and resource sector ventures, bringing over two decades of executive leadership and lifelong field experience to complex harvesting and land management operations. Beginning his career in residential tree services, Mr. Closson has developed comprehensive, hands-on expertise in technical falling, industrial climbing, brush management, stem preparation, pruning, jacking, and advanced alternative harvesting methodologies.
A certified faller, falling supervisor, and certified forestry climber, Mr. Closson has directed large-scale, full-phase helicopter logging projects in both accessible and remote environments since 2000. He serves as Logging Manager for Heliqwest Aviation—a position he has held since 2012—while maintaining ownership and operational oversight of South Coast Standing Stem, DMN Heli Services, and Precise Contract Falling, alongside his ownership stake in Tsu Resources LP. Through these integrated entities, he leverages a network of specialized personnel and contractors to deliver multi-faceted forestry, aerial logging, and resource support services.
Mr. Closson’s operational focus encompasses forest fire mitigation, fuel reduction, and expanded silviculture services, including tree brushing, spacing, targeted pesticide application, and browse protection. His recent project portfolio features prime contract execution for BC Timber Sales (North Island and Campbell River business areas), alongside municipal and First Nations fire mitigation initiatives for the Cowichan Valley Regional District (CVRD), the City of Duncan, the University of Victoria, and the Ts'uubaa-asatx Nation in the Lake Cowichan region. Known for his commitment to safety, field-tested methodology, and operational efficiency, Mr. Closson provides key technical oversight and long-term strategic direction across all resource sector engagements.
ControllerAnita Klett
Anita Klett serves as Controller and Administrator for Tsu Resources LP, leading the company’s financial administration, administrative operations, safety management systems, and regulatory compliance. In this role, she directs comprehensive financial oversight across a portfolio of specialized forestry and aviation entities, including South Coast Standing Stem, Heliqwest Aviation in British Columbia, DMN Heli Services, Precise Contract Falling, and Tsu Resources LP.
With a professional collaboration alongside Gord Closson dating back to 2008, Ms. Klett provides strategic continuity and executive-level administration across multiple complex ventures. Her expertise encompasses financial governance, regulatory compliance, and cross-organizational support tailored to high-demand, field-based operations. She previously served as a bookkeeper and administrator for the IWA forestry union, establishing a foundational mastery in workforce administration, financial system design, and organizational management.
Ms. Klett maintains administrative responsibility for safety programs, quality assurance, and industry certifications. She possesses specialized knowledge in British Columbia Forest Safety Council (BCFSC) audits, ISNetworld (ISN) qualification standards, and contractor compliance frameworks. Through her institutional knowledge, operational discipline, and commitment to governance, Ms. Klett ensures financial integrity, regulatory readiness, and sustainable operational support across all managed entities.
